HR & Payroll Officer

An exciting position within the company has become available for a HR & Payroll Officer at our offices in Bettws, Newtown.

 

Responsibilities

HR

 

- Process all new starters and leavers including production of employment contracts, induction packs, reference requests, company handbooks, leaver letters and holiday payments.

- Process all paperwork associated with employment changes and variations to contracts.

- Create and maintain all employee personnel records, ensuring archiving of leavers and cleansing of information held in line with the Data Protection Act.

- Process & control all SMP, SSP, SPP leave in line with statutory guidelines.

- Approve/input and track staff holiday requests in line with company policy. Produce monthly holiday reports.

- Reconcile AOE payments, process payments.

- Assist with any recruitment administration; right to work compliance.

- Administrative annual pay review, employee survey and HR statistics.

- Maintain the HR Database including sick absence reporting.

- Maintain training tracker update review and complete training administration.

- Provide accounts team with all additional HR administration requirements / payroll end-of-year information.

- Ensure employment law is adhered to.

- Any other duties as required by the business.

 

Payroll

 

- Process monthly payroll including statutory year-end returns and P60s.

- Deal with employee salary and payroll queries.

- Reconcile payroll and journals.

- Assist with reporting from payroll in line with business requirements.

- Ensure T&A data input, review accuracy

- Ensure information is complete and action requests for missing information as required.

- Payroll reporting to assist with Budget management as required.

- Reconcile FPS/EPS files to HMRC portal, resubmit where necessary.

- Any other payroll duties as required by the business.

 

Requirements

 

- CDI qualification (HR) desirable

- Experience of completing payroll for businesses with seasonal works and 50+ employees

- Experience within a HR role within another organisation

Hours, Salary and Contact

Hospitality Staff | Brigands

We have an exciting position available at our renowned Brigands estate for an enthusiastic member of our hospitality team.

Responsibilities

Working with the host, you will take responsibility of the hospitality experience throughout the day for our shooting clients both in-the-field and at our luxury lodge; including presenting, serving, set-up and clean-down.

Confident in front of guests and with a can-do attitude, you will be based from Brigands, SY20 9HJ with live-in an option for the right candidate.

This position will run from 1st Oct - 1st Feb, up to 6 days a week, with opportunity for career progression within the company.

Breakfast Chef / Day Cook

We are seeking breakfast chefs to join our established team independently cooking breakfast and set lunches for up to 20 guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare menus in collaboration with colleagues and assist in the daily operation of the kitchen. 

Ensure smooth running of the kitchen, including stock rotation, health and safety, food hygiene, paperwork and food safety plan. 

Prepare dishes from scratch using fresh produce to a consistently high quality, taste and presentation according to the Executive Chef's guidelines.

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar fresh food environment showing excellent use of various cooking methods, ingredients and processes.

Ability to multitask under pressure with a positive can-do attitude, working independently and as directed by your lead Chef.

Up to date food hygiene certificate required and, preferably, Level 2 or higher in professional cookery.

Hours, Salary & Contact

This is a 5 day shift between Mon-Sat working 7am - 3pm. £10 - £12 / hour depending on experience with meals included on shift, tip share and live-in available for the right candidate.

Leather Notebook

Compliance Manager

Working closely with the Management team and existing H&S consultancy, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and improving all business processes related to Health, Safety, Environmental and Compliance matters.

This is a pivotal role to the business day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

Health & Safety

- Implementing and improving H&S systems

- Conducting on-site risk assessments

- Updating all relevant H&S documents

- Training new & existing employees on H&s policies and processes

- Reporting any accidents or incidents to HSE

- Maintaining relevant databases for chemical storage

- Fire Safety Compliance

- Site assessments and internal auditing

- Producing H&S reports for Management meetings

Insurance

- Administration to support company insurance schemes (premium value £150k)

- Monitor and review claims

- Update fleet policy with new and sold vehicles-critical task

- Liaise with insurance brokers over any claims until completion

- Review claims and schemes to make use best available

- Any other duties are required by the business

Environmental

- Managing environmental compliance

(waste management permits, etc.)

- Preparation and distribution of environmental reports

Statutory

- Accreditations, licenses and legal compliance checks

- Administration to support compliance

- Contact Local Authority for nay issues

- Export & Import process checks and compliance

Requirements

- Previous experience of working within HSE/EHS across a variety of sectors

- HSE qualification

- Excellent interpersonal skills

- Knowledge of COMAH would be advantageous

Responsibilities

Based at our stunning lodges at Bettws Hall in Bettws, SY16 3DS, with a requirement to service our other nearby sites, this role will suit an enthusiastic housekeeper looking for 16+ hours per week.

You will be a key member of a team responsible for the presentation and cleaning of our accommodation, comprising bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms.

These are permanent part-time positions with an immediate start date.

Based at Bettws Hall in Bettws, SY16 3DS, you will be a confident, front-of-house member looking after our shoot clients from 1st Oct - 1st Feb.

Responsibilities

Your role will involve setting up, serving and clean-down of your lodge, including meals and drinks. Experience in hospitality is preferred but more important is a positive attitude as you will be key in delivery of our 5-star service to our HNW clients.

This will be a part-time role, either morning or evening, with company progression outside of shoot season for the right candidate.
