THE SHOOT DAY

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN SHOOTING WITH

ONE OF THE UK'S PREMIER ESTATES

Night Before

If staying with us the night before the shoot you will be greeted to our stunning

Bettws Hall accommodation by our Gunroom Manager, where your guns will be

securely stored and you'll be shown around your Sporting Lodge.

We have an open bar for all guests staying with us to supplement the canapes that our professional waiting team will be providing you with prior to sitting down for an evening meal. Most of our dining tables seat 16.

The evening meal is concluded with Cheese & Biscuits and Coffee & Mints before retiring to log fires seating area.

Shoot Day

The exciting Shoot Day begins with a continental breakfast whilst you place your order for any cooked breakfast to fuel you for the day ahead.

The Gunroom is open from 7am for guns and any last minute accessories and forgotten items to be purchased. Your host will arrive to take you on to the Estate for the day to have hot drinks and draw pegs and meet your loader if pre-booked.

10:00am - On the Peg for the first drive!

10:45am - Champagne after the first drive to settle the nerves.

11:15am - Second drive commences.

12:00pm - 'Elevensies' cooked and prepared by our Chef in the field.

12:45pm - Third Drive commences.

1:30pm - Drinks & Lunch at Shoot Lodge.

3:00pm - Last Drive.

4:00pm - Post-Shoot drinks at Shoot Lodge for numbers and meet the Keeper.

4:30pm - Depart from Estate for Home or Bettws Hall Lodges if staying over.

We are able to arrange many post-shoot options to help you unwind and reminisce the day's activities such as a Masseuse, Hot Tub or a table booked at the local Pub, The Bull & Heifer if not dining with us.
