Duck Shooting in Argentina

From Buenos Aires it is only a short hop North West in a privately chartered plane to the Entre Rios region and one of the finest duck shooting venues in Argentina. The Estancia sits on a hill with views out over the 32 mile wide delta, which is teeming with wild duck.

With such a vast expanse of water there are many, many different areas to shoot and each area pulls different species in from Rosey Billed Pochard and Tree ducks to Snip, four different types of Teal and Southern Widgeon.

The morning of your shoot you travelling through a maze of passages cut out from the reeds in a marsh boat. Before the sun rises you are already in your blind and the bird boys have set out the decoys. As the sun rises they start calling and you wait, but not for very long! As the sun comes up it turns the sky red and then you can see the thousands upon thousands of duck across the horizon. Travelling in almost every direction and completely at random the sight is astounding. You can choose between the highest of the high birds or perhaps take them head on. Which ever you chose you will certainly not be disappointed as the shooting is outstanding.

All in all this is a serious trip and certain one which I will remember for the rest of my life.
