A Typical Day in Spain
The format of a days shooting in Spain is similar to that in England, however timings are sometimes extended as daylight hours draw on. As an example a typical day would be as follows:
A relaxed breakfast is usually served at 9:00am on the terrace if the weather is fine. Guests then boot up and prepare to travel only a short distance to the first drive as both lodges are in the centre of the estates. Three drives in the morning are interspersed with drinks and tapas breaks followed by “taco” (lunch in the field) and then a further one or two drives in the afternoon. Guests then return to the lodge and are presented with the “Tableaux” by the host and his Head Game Keeper.
Evening drinks on the veranda, a wonderful formal dinner in the lodge and perhaps a little flamenco music and dance completes the day before guests retire to bed.
