A Typical Day in Argentina
Dove Shooting
Guests are usually up and about by about 7am for breakfast in the Estancia. It is then only a short drive of no more than 10 minutes to the blind where you will be based for the morning. Your bird boy will be armed with cartridges and drinks which are continually at your disposal.
By about 12:30 – 1:00 pm it is time for lunch and you are taken back to the Estancia for a fine BBQ or buffet. Alternatively, you may like to take lunch in the field. After lunch perhaps take a little siesta before returning to the fields for an afternoon shoot.
Shooting generally finishes at about 7pm when the teams return to the Estancia for showers and a soothing massage before pre-dinner drinks.
Duck Shooting
Each day there are two flights, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Before first light coffee is served in the lodge as you prepare and the bird boys gather the necessary kit together. You then hop into a 4x4 and are taken 600 yards to the waiting boats. From there you are taken to a blind with your bird boys in the Marsh Boats. Your flight usually lasts about 2 ½ hours with a bag limit of 20 birds per person.
Once the flight is over you head back to the Estatncia for a superb breakfast before heading out for either some Pardiz (a type of partridge) shooting over pointers or perhaps a little Dorado fishing in the marshes.
Lunch is a grand affair in the Estancia followed by an afternoon nap. It is then off once again for a duck flight or you may wish to shoot some doves instead.
All the team meet back at the lodge for pre-dinner drinks and the chance to discuss the days adventures.
