Here at Bettws Hall, we would like to make your stay as memorable as possible. One of the luxurious services we can provide is organising your own personal chef for your stay with our on-site chefs, Mike & Toni. We have worked with Mike and Toni for several years, to produce fabulous food whatever the occasion.
Mikes Career started as Apprentice being trained by the legendary restaurateur Joe Waldron at the Blue Bell Restaurant, Farnah Green. Mike then went on to training Chef Nao Moriuchii Award winning Restaurant and Buffet chef and also Rex Howell who is highly regarded as one of the east midlands premier chefs.
In 1993, Mike and his wife Toni bought and developed a dilapidated Post office in Chesterfield turning it into the old post Restaurant, which they ran successfully for 10 years and is to this day still a restaurant. They then moved near the Welsh Coast where they joined the Bettws Hall team, they ran the Brigands inn for a year in 2016, they then moved to run the Bull and Heifer for 6 months and now Mike runs the catering at Maesmawr Hall.
Whatever the occasion, our chefs can cater for it. If you’d like a bespoke menu, the chefs are happy to do this to suit your needs and dietary requirements. They can cater for a celebratory evening, seasonal lunch or al fresco dining.
